thanks everyone for the comments! I went through the non-proofs last night and separated them. Got 1 and 1/2 rolls of 1991 gems, 1/2 roll of 1993 gems, 1/2 1995, some 1998 and 1994 gems. Quote:

Yes, you could determine silver by the same means as roll searching. Edge searching should be adequate, but
weighing them never hurts when not completely sure.

My Cherry Pickers Guide Vol. 2 (2012 version) arrived from good old Walmarts today. I am glad to have it and also glad I saved almost $20 on the price vs. local bookstores. Now to identify key dates and start processing about $750 dollars of halves already scanned for silver content and the beautiful "S" mint mark. In short, it is time to see if I have double dies, offset reverses, or the like. |

10 absolutely BU 1990s era coins that are all proof like....they are amazing to see....was a major upgrade week for me in my Dansco. Someone must have dumped a clad collection.

Went through $147 of CWR and received 1 40%. The funny part is that it was a single coin from a teller and she said " It looks pretty bad are you sure you want it?". I was 4 teller windows over and still saw that it was silver! I also received 6 other half dollars from a young teller that I call Eisenhower dollars. |

I have found some nice 90s coins before but did not keep them all seeing how, though nice, I did not think
they had resale value.
This being said, I did keep some of the best ones. I just felt they were too nice to place back into
circulation.

BernieZ: Great find on the proofs! Regarding Silver Proofs I'd weigh them and check the dates. If silver,they will weigh 12.50 grams as opposed to 11.34 grams for copper clad, plus from 1992 to now, they will have a solid white edge and stick out like a sore thumb! Also, go by the dates, from 1971 to 1991, the only silver Kennedy half made was the Bi-Cenn (1776-1976) both in Unc and Proof 40% silver. The U.S Mint started re-making 90% Proofs in 1992 to present.
