I do not currently use a magnifier, mostly because I do not own one. At some point I plan to get on and start looking for a DDO 1974. Those would be the only one I would plan to check. I use the box to throw away all the empty paper from the rolls. I dump all my searched coins into a lunchbox and take them into the bank, which has a coin counting machine.

OK, thanks! Keep all your 1974 D's until you get a magnifier. I got two (2) rolls one day, the first two rolls I ever searched, and got a DDO 74-D. You probably know already, check the RUS in TRUST, it's very, very easy to spot. I can almost see mine without a loupe, and mine is not in great shape, f-vf. I posted a pic somewhere...I think in this thread. Thanks for the info.

I only did one box so far but then I took $250.00 back the coin machine only said I had $247.00 so they checked and 3.00 dropped off to the side and not in the bag? I thought these counted before they went into the bag who knows. Anyway I then added the $3.00 of half's back into the coin machine along with some other coins that were stuck in the coin return but it still only credited me $1.87 I thought oh the heck with it just so you know you can lose a little in those machines but I would rather lose a dollar or two than re-roll $480.00 of half's.

I couldn't find the pics either. I think they're in a different thread. That's good, though, because the new ones are much better anyway. Image: 1974DDO1.jpg84.99 KB Image: 1974DDO2.jpg76.65 KB Image: 1974DDO3.jpg69.27 KB I asked the teller for half rolls today, she went to the back and returned with one roll. I asked if they could order a box for me. At first she said no, but her manager (I think she was a manager) was right behind her, so she asked. She said I could but I had to get at least two boxes, not one. So how many of you think I should order them? (I need a little encouragement) By the way, that one roll had two 1967's and a 1968-D.

That's a nice 74D DDOm, congrats! Great and very rare find! I'd go for it, ask for a couple fo boxes. Let yourself build a nicer condition set (and wait until you see what a challenge it is to put a BU set together from circulation...). Depending on your geographic location, you may hit some silver or you may not.

I got an extra fed box today from a new bank, and I didn't think it would be here yet but they called me on my way home and I picked it up. Heres what I got- 10 40%ers 1 frank 63D
When I left she said she would order me another box if I wanted to. I don't have an account there and I didn't want to be too pushy. But I'll call tomorrow and order one. My regular 3 boxes come on Thursday, so I'll post those when I get them. I called another bank and tried to order another box and they said that they already have a few hundred dollars available, I'll try to get those this week if possible. I also got a 1953 dime at the grocery store in my change, I asked for another $2.00 in dimes and she took me to the service desk- I'll never know if there were anymore in that till. Might have been the only one

That is a spectacular box nod. My first box is coming in by the end of the week. I hope it's better than the $200 in '76 ers I got skunked with last month.

Great box nod2003. Reminds me of one of my first boxes. I have not had a box like it since. Went through 2 more fed boxes tonight. Found 3 - 90% and 16 - 40%. 2 more boxes coming Friday.
