Hello All,
I think I am going to see about two boxes of dimes this week to see if they are producing through Brinks at my providing bank. I may hold off on the halves this week and see if other local banks may order some from a different carrier.
Just a bit depressing to see all the marked coins, and those with holes, over and over. Also, the higher-than-normal ratio of 1970s is also another sign. I know they are the most common, but the ratio isn't right here and they are all fairly worn and bland. Just another sign someone has pulled just about anything of value.
More later.

Someone asked what sized bag my coin came in. It was the $1k bag but had $500 in it. I want to ask if they will order more for me. If they say yes, do you think it matters if I order 1k or 500? I'd prefer 1k but I'm almost scared they will go to a different source for the coin if I ask for 1k. My guess is some of you would feel the same and others would say I'm being paranoid or over-thinking it.

Now that I am roll hunting JFK's, can someone ell me the other possible in-circualtiuon finds that the newer volumes list?
So far I check 72Ds for no FG; 71D, 72P, 73D, and 74D for DDOs.
I saw online where an 82D is a variety now known. What other ones were added to the newer editions of the book so that I do not miss something?

I think I am going to try a road trip myself. Less than 100 miles puts me in either Eastern, TN or Western, SC. I know Johnson City has to be primed but I also know they must have 10x more searchers there than where I reside. So, I may hit the smaller towns between here and there.
Hey, can't really hurt.

I typically have very little luck with searching boxes of halves. However, today was great. At my dump bank, when I finished dumping my coins, I saw some Eisenhowers in the top of the machine (this machine can't process these and typically end up jammed at the top). I made sure the machine was done counting and printing my receipt. I took the top shroud off and reached in to find a 1976 Eisenhower Type 1 and drumrolllllllllllllllll.................... a 1922-S Peace dollar! I was ecstatic! I just wonder if there were others stuck in some place inside where I couldn't see or reach. I didn't end up asking anyone over, but perhaps I should have had them open it up and tell them I dumped them by accident. Oh well. For that matter, I should have asked the tellers if they had any Eisenhowers as the guy might have realized the machine wasn't taking them and deposited them outright.

Monks.. stick to that friend of yours at the supermarket!
that would make my day! and forget the boxes!! $100 in halves, thats easy dump and sounds like almost half of it was silver!
my dad recently called me and said he knew his local Credit Union manger and he was going to let him get the bags. apparently someone was already getting the bags, but problem was, he would bring them back and that was no good for their machine.. my dad says, " I will never bring em back" so now we wait for the manager to call and let us know when its full!
