I'm on cloud 15! I'll post totals mañana, and more pics.
Wrestling, just saw your msg at 2:30 am. I'll try you tomorrow. There's no trick to it. I think this time it was pure blessing. I mean, I never ask this bank for loose halves. They are my box bank, and I try to keep a low profile. They offered ME to buy them; and I seriously wasn't interested. I was sure they would be dumps! I guess they never opened the rolls! I couldn't believe it.

P.S.
Kenscott, sorry to hear you're ill...at least I have insurance. You know, I think some people are just in bad locations. There's just not much circulating. My heart goes out to them.

I am fortunate in that I work at a bank and have access to ALL the rolls and loose change that comes in! I have REALLY enjoyed getting some pretty big hits of silver. Three weeks ago, I went through all the rolls of half dollars that had come in over the previous weeks and I found 70 40% Kennedy halves and 3 90% Kennedy halves! I was PUMPED! Then just the week before last, a woman brought in several rolls of qarters and dimes, but I just put them away and didn't think much about them... later I came back and looked through them, and found 4 full rolls of pre-64 dimes and 28 silver quarters! I got the whole lot for face value. IT WAS AWESOME!! :) It's funny, the other employees at the bank think its funny how excited I get when new rolls come in! Anyway, there's my story of roll searching! -Brad

Well, that's a darn good story, Brad! You're in a great seat to find great coins.

It definitely gives me a head start! But I feel for my fellow coin hunters who come in and ask for rolls... I let them know that I've already searched the rolls, and they always look sad, but I would rather tell them up front than have them take the rolls I already know are searched. Then we usually get into talking about collecting/hunting! It's a great gig!

Bernie...That is unreal. Can't wait to hear the totals, but it looks like you just made a few thousand bucks yesterday!
HalfHunter, I mentioned at the end of another post that I picked up the other box. I wish my roll hunting had continued to match your second box but unfortunately, it did not. It was practically a skunk. I did manage to find a 1987D. No silver, NIFC's, or proofs.

Thanks, Chuckster, cheers to coin hunting in the Garden State! I think we're lucky here, because of the high traffic of people in the banks, and so many banks to search.
Wrestling, I've been running around all day, posting with my cell phone, which won't let me login, so I can't pm till I get some time at home on the PC later!
I don't think I made thousands, hundreds I think! I'm trying to decide if I should sell enough silvers to pay for the $190 in rolls that yielded the silver...if I did, would it be better to sell the 40's and keep the 90's, or vice versa?

Awesome finds coming in this week. Let me add on to my good tuesday score. OO I did the same thing, my tuesday score led me to run out to a different branch of that same bank, that always orders halves, but wont order for anyone. Their service is the worst, they hate everyone, they complain when you ask for halves boxes. Their vault is in the basement, its hit or miss, if they dont wont to go downstairs, they say they dont have them, or they only give you one box. I was there last friday and told they were "out". After tuesdays score, I thought well let me head over there, I called in, and it was confirmed halves are in. Headed in, my one girl that hooks me up there, waited for her, and did the old whisper " Hey ......... , can I get 2 today " she said no only have one, she had gotten it already for me after I called. Need less to say skunk, I know they had that box last week, so they lied the week before, so to bad, they have will have new boxes next week though. Thursday dumping 900$, spotted a 40 % in a teller tray.....score (1)40% thursday bank 1 box 217....skunk box 218...(2)40% box 219...(1)40%, (1)90% no fourth box, they had 150$ in cwr for me, so deciided to only get me 3 boxes, I told them great, but next time still get me 4, and Ill buy your extras. 150$ cwr...skunk thursday bank 2 box 220...1985 s proof.....the box from my story above friday bank 3 box 221...(3) 40% box 222...(6) 40% box 223...skunk box 224...1977 s proof Good week, got 12 boxes coming next week, good luck to everyone, let the finds keep rolling in.

Two boxes of halves = dozen NIFCs, gold plated 1986, a burned 1976 proof and a 1969! Finally a tiny bit of silver.
