Picker! That is quite the haul for one day! I always love opening that roll that you know somewhere someone was saying "OOPS!" when they realize they took that to the bank! Also, I am floored that you got the NICE morgan in the big dollar coins!

It amazes me, how can someone at a bank ask if you want a silver dollar, but then not know silver is worth a lot?

I think I was going about this hunting for halves the wrong way... I walked into a local branch today and asked if they had any rolls of halves. Of course, they did not. The teller asked if I wanted the 3 she had. I never take anything but rolls... that is until today. She had a 64 right there! I couldn't believe it. Went to four other banks and got 8 rolls. No more silver. The last bank did not have rolls so I took their loose halves and BAM.... 3 40%ers. Best day in months! Its out there, keep looking!

Box 517-520 Finally a new color on marked coins. 1 40%4 proofs 3 rolls NIFC gems. including many satin finish. tomorrow should be good, I get my old account reactivated for larger buys. and 4 boxes being delivered to my other bank. going back to 8-12 boxes a week til november then plan on selling off 50-70 ounces of the junk rolls. BTW, fantastic finds everyone, especially the non-box roll finds. keep it up. Hope my luck will change here soon. seems like months since I've had anything to post here.

halfhunter, I crunched some numbers using your sig data. $3315silver value/ 233.5box It seems you average about $14.20 in silver per box ($500, right?) when counting your CWR as 3.5 boxes. That would mean that you get an average of 1.42 cents worth of silver per coin searched . I like crunching numbers. Just wanted to see if this sounded like I calculated correctly?

Hey broseph sounds right to me. Yeah thats really good numbers but that is inflated, let me explain. Those numbers are real, but I have one mega box in those stats. So if you subtract my one box that had 296 40% in it, thats my real avaerage. That one box just pushes my stats real high. My goal is 1000 40% by 400 boxes. Around here I will get lots of skunks, or weeks of 1 coin per 4 boxes, but I get enough decent hits once in a while to keep me up there. Foe example so far this week I'm at 3 40% out of 10 boxes, with 4 more coming today, the way the boxes look this week, they could very well be skunks, because iv gotten 6 so far from the same supply chain, good news bad news, when they are skunks, there all skunks, but when they hit, they usually hit on all boxes. You have to keep getting the boxes that way when a good silver dump hits the system, your a player on it.
I think I'm playing ring around the rosie with someone in my town. I pick up from 2 armored companies, 80% one 20% one, but I dump 100% into one. I think someone else is doing the same, just the opposite. My good pick up gets worked down to the good wrappers again for a few weeks, then they top it off. Just finished the good wrappers again, half the boxes last week, were half good wrappers, half bad wrappers in the same box, and the good wrappers looked old, like they had been wet, scotch taped up rolls with silver in them.
If I can just figure out what if any bank uses the third supplier in my town I might be able to get something good going, I just have to see that amored car somewhere else besides speedway or mcdonalds.
who knows I'm probually all wrong, its luck, but I know depending on what bank you order with makes a difference. Ok done rambling. Good luck to everyone as chuckster says I need 7 today to hit double digits this week.

Wow, a 30% box of silvers? That's nuts. I wish I got to searched full boxes. I just search CWR when I get a little free time. I can't do the big operations that most people here can :(

bishftl:
I've been getting those pink coins lately also, along with a few solid purple for the first time. ( Besides the orange and green!)
It seems like people out there are spray painting lots of JFKS besides those that just magic-marker them :(

That's right...even though it sometimes gives the hunter an indication of how soon they are seeing their dumps return (sometimes you are searching the same clad over and over), the counters and rolling machines are becoming clogged with laquer...the couriers are ticked!
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors... Roll hunting since '77 Dirt fishing since '72

my teller told me yesterday too. the couriers are fed up with not only the sprayed coin but anywhere from 25-50 bags at a time.
