Well done fade - saaaaaalute! You're an example to us all. Murphy - I was looking forward to your 4 box Friday - hope the rolls at home produce well. Teach - outstanding on the Franklin! Good Hunting everyone. From the other day 7 40% in two rolls. No other silver in about 30 rolls (3NIFC)

I went to the bank today and picked up 3 rolls. To my surprise, one of the had 2 silvers coins in it...a 90% and a 40% (1964 and 1969).
One of the rolls she gave me looked like it was wrapped in a mint wrapper with 2006 P on it. Unfortunately, I tore into it up and it was indeed all 2006 P's in perfect condition. I kind of regretted opening it. Would there have been any value in keeping the roll all bundled up?
Also, does anyone ever grade half dollars? The 1964 looks to be in great condition with some toning on it.
Thanks.
Dave

14 Silver in 3 Boxes.
13 40% and a Franklin.
I say I'm going to quit, but I never do. I guess I'm a "roll hunting junkie" lol.

Kurrykid,
The 2006s are NIFCs, and it they are in mint condition you may wish to hold them. As for there being more value if they were left wrapped, I do not think it would make that much difference in value.

I'm definitely jealous of some of you guys. I just started coin roll hunting. I've been skunked on my first 3 boxes. I'm trying to do a box every week or so. Hopefully the luck will turn around soon.

I did my first box of half dollars this weekend and got 1 40% 1967. I usually do nickels so it was a fun change , I'm going to pick up another box next week.

Welcome aboard Chuckitdeep and Rounder. Glad to have you here. Keep plugging away Chuckitdeep. I went through a skunk streak that lasted 8 or 9 boxes. If you have a chance, get your boxes from a different bank. Or just another Branch of the same bank. Sometimes it helps. Are you just looking for Silver or are you also checking for errors? Congrats on the 67 Rounder, I also switch between Halves and Nickels. I have searched everything except the new gold dollars. I find the pennies and dimes to be uncomfortably small for my eyes. Since I'm not that fond of Quarters, that leaves Nickels, Halves, and the occasional batch on Eisenhower dollars.

@Kurrykid I keep a running of errors personally found at the end of my posts. Here is a copy/paste of the last post w/ the errors to look for colored red: Quote: year.........Today's Totals........Running Total for 70 boxes 71D.............88.........................0/171 1971 D DDOs 72P............131.........................0/4138 1972 DDOs 72D.............58.........................2/1153 1972-D No FG 73D.............29.........................2/490 1973-D DDOs 74D.............14.........................2/517 1974-D DDOs 82P..............4.........................0/179 1982 No FG 83P.............39.........................5/898 1983 No FG These are from the Cherry Pickers' Guide and are the main ones. There are a few more in the silver listings that I have not included here since the frequency of finding them is much less. I did get a 1967 DDO once. edited for syntax

Thank you Murphy. I have done quarters and dimes a couple times but never had any luck so I'm sticking to nickels and half dollars also.
