None of them are frosty or "s" so they must just be in good condition.

Thanks.

KurryKid,

Proofs are designated with an "S" mint mark. This represents the coins being minted at the San Francisco mint.

Also, NIFCs are a type of proof coin seeing how they were minted but were never supposed to be released into general circulation. They were minted with the purpose of being sold to collectors.

Proofs were struck in 1964, halted from 1965-1967, and resumed in 1968. I hope this helps.

They did produce well-struck prooflike coins in '65-'67, called SMS... Special Mint Set. They'll be of higher quality than business (regular) strikes. You can, on rare occasions, find SMS coins that look like proofs, or close to proofs. They're relatively rare, and in high grades, can command substantial premiums.

Here's a Cameo SMS nickel I found in a set a while back.

Thats a good looking nickel proof for that year. I find some of those 40% I think are fresh from those sms sets, the ones that have the pinkish rims to them, you ever notice that with 40%? In my picture on the previous page the 68 on the left second coin down was one of those pretty much a bu coin, had to be fresh from a mint set, but some of them have that hue on the rim.

Also I got 2 boxes of nickels one time and pulled full steps from 47-69 not every year. They were obviously from the same dump, I put some in my danso, but Iv got half a roll sitting there. They have a nice slight gold tone to them. Those worth sending to a TPG?

Rachums,

Well when my shocks needed replaced, took out the air shocks and put in mechanical shocks, since air shocks didn't work when car wasn't running since no air compressor. But if I get maybe 10 boxes in back, almost have body rubbing tires. That and really need more labor. I've never weighed a box. Has anyone tried it?

Boxes weigh 24ish pounds each. I usually will haul no more than 24 boxes at a time, the equivalent of three large male passengers.

U'mmm, another pretty good morning.
Has been almost two weeks now since my last
decent find. Drought over
Picked up $200 face of dimes along with 5 rolls of half's
at one of my 3 main st. banks.
The dimes were all a bust. Not a one in the lot.
The 5 rolls of half's ? Well,
63 total silvers.
4 ea. 40%er's (how they got in there is beyond me
U ready, 59 ea. 64-P's
Weird part is that the 3 rolls with the 64's in them
had a very small "S" written on the wrapper in black ink. They were
those light brown wrappers. A long while back I had found
3 or 4 rolls of 64's with the same S mark on them.
Not from this same bank though. Oh well, no complaints here.
Think i'll take next week off and really go CRHing

Great finds, on this page!

My favorite to find is: Proof, 87, 40%, 90% walker, ben, ken, silver proof!

It's funny, the big score I had back in September, which I posted here,
had those same light brown wrappers with the pencil 'S' on them! I think there's a pic of that here!

Bust on the two un-ordered boxes from BOA. My normal four boxes are in
today, only 1 40% so far. almost done second box. will finish tonight, and pick up remaining two boxes tomorrow if time allows.
