My favorite key to snag when I can get a killer deal. I think I see 187- Anyway, I'll pass. Hey, at least he has a 14 day return but even in hand, I think it's gonna be tough. I like a little more date http://www.ebay.com/itm/1877-Indian...i=RTM2067267swcoin.ecrater.com

It would take a hallucinogenic imagination to date that one.

Ha!
Knowing the diagnostics of this coin very well, I'd still be hard pressed to pull the trigger. If it had at least a faint but recognizable date, it would have been gone very quick.

Not an 1877. The N on the reverse does not appear to be shallow. This is a diagnostic of the date and I just dont see it.

Forgot to mention that too RR. I think we are looking at something 187-, but not 77 for sure.

Yeah, I agree, the Ns on the reverse would be at least half gone on an 1877.

Not an 1877, but still an 187X. That was probably circulating into the 1940's or even later.

Quote: What a lowball coin!
Only if you can tell me the date. Otherwise it's not gradable. The only dateless coins which can be graded are those which have other features unique to one date and mint, like a 1916 SLQ.

We often see what we want to see, not what actually is. You are wise to pass on this one.

Yeah, the reverse N's were to strong for it to be an 1877.

Nope don't see it. You need to be able to see it especially for that key date. Sometimes you can't see something in a photo but can see it if you hold it on a tilt against the light like this coin. When I held this coin to the light, I could plainly see the 1875 (I am pretty sure this is the coin):
