Wow that seller was dumb. Listed a coin in the "books" category. Whenever I search for a coin to buy/sell, I always immediately navigate to the coins category - as I'm guessing most buyers do.

Agree with the posts about categories.
But for example, when I search for something, I even do not bother to select the category, since the generic search will go through all the categories. I would search for "2015 Canada gold" (and this listing comes first).
But of cause, this seller narrowed the buyers group.
Added: Thought about additional point in this sale. When someone will want to buy this coin, at least today, he will take in account the sold price of CAD 768 and will not be ready to pay significantly more.

For anyone who had called/emailed me and asked about the Looney Tunes coins. We were under the impression from the RCM that the release date for us to sell would be May.12/15. We have been informed now that that date has been moved to May.5/15. Sorry if we caused any confusion to customers. We will begin sales on May.5/15.

Your level of disappointment will rise with in proportion to the price you pay for the coin. Its one thing for a coin costing less than $100 to drop 50% in value but it is another thing when a coin you paid $1000 drop even 30%.

Most things we buy drop 30% and then some. Did your 1500 dollar fridge appreciate over the past 5 years? Mattress? Car? You like it, then buy it. Why does it have to appreciate? If you want and investment coin buy a gold Maple Leaf and pray for inflation.

The main idea is good, but the comparision not correct. The items, that you counted - they are for use. So it is nice to use good fridge, powerful car and comfortable mattress, and of cause after couple of years they will lose the value (btw, heard not once from the people that they "will never buy new car, because it loses couple of thousands in the moment of leaving the dealership"). Unlike it, the collectibles we just "have" , and sometimes it meter, if somewhere on the shelf you have dusted box with $100 of value item, or already $30. And still - buy only if you like it. No investment here.

Few coins did appreciated in values. Collectors then have happy ending afterward. For example, I love Superman Gold Coin ( 2013 & 2014 ) and I am glad 2013's doubled its values. Same as Perth Mint's God ( Goddess ) Of Olympus Series. Of course, most Numismatics Coins lose their values eventually.

I just received the RCM cats on the coming Looney Tunes series..anyone who pays out 69 grand for a 1000 gram bugs bunny ensemble design better realize that the fakes are coming and at that price the fakes could be real gold and still make a huge profit.....32 oz of gold is worth about 37,000...Of course all these coins will be faked asap....Ive not got any feelings for this LT release so I wont buy into it... It will be interesting to watch and see how this goes.....I guess

It will be interesting to watch and see how this goes.....I guess] The Kilo Looney Tune coin for $69,000 will NOT be faked since even at a discount few people can afford it. Counterfeiters will want to sell as many as they can and a $69,000 coin is not something easy to move even at a discounted price of $10,000-$25,000. Not to mention very valuable items are subject to more intense scrutiny and buyers want to make sure it is not a fake. However, the 14K Gold Looney Tune will be likely faked, probably by the same people faking the gold Superman coins. Since the size of is the same, they can use the same molds.

Some people have kind of attachment to the characters, so they will buy. Inexpensive 1/2oz's have classic designs, they bit more interesting then others. Since RCM continues with the model of Gold + several silver coins (in addition of 1kg editions), I believe, people watching the gold 14kt coin. So....still unavailable for the public via RCM, but here: 3.5hrs to end, BIN of CAD 999.95 no bids yet http://www.ebay.ca/itm/111654739569...M209.R7.TR15

@moneypenny....you are probably right about the 10 coin ltd edition 1 kilo gold..that would be pretty difficult to sell....it should be interesting to see how fast that one sells out....but most of the other ones will be faked for sure and ebay doesn't seem to really be that serious about keeping them off the market...its pathetic to see how half hearted they are about the ebay sellers who are selling counterfeit coins........Im pretty sure the RCM has hit a new low with these LT coins...but like Silveroid says....if you are sentimentally attached to these characters and like them ...buy them.......anyways ..the popcorn bag is calling
