Larger pics would be nice, but from the pics provided I think it looks like an AU-50 or an AU-53

VF35, haha. I know several under-grade but not that far. Reminds me of taking coins to a show and how some dealers under-grade while buying but certainly not when selling. I will post a better pic soon. From what I can see here some sort of AU. Got to look at the middle and lower band closer. This is a picture from a lot. My scans may not show luster well but show detail well and do not hide flaws through lighting tricks.

The diagonal bands are actually the highest point of the reverse, and are a very good place to begin grading. They'll "seem" full still in a strike weak enough to close the horizontal bands. The obverse is highest just above where you'd expect an ear, just north of center.

Hey nobody's perfect, so I missed this one. I was one of the first to grade it, and I'm not afraid to be the first one in the ring. Just throwing out my best guess for practice, which is what it's all about. I didn't check with Photograde. To me the reverse looked worn. Photos are better than scans. I tend to have a low bias anyway. Rather be a bit conservative and have you be pleasantly surprised. Anyway it's a common dime and the difference between VF and AU is about 2 bucks. I did learn to look for the diagonal band wear from this thread.

You know when I've nailed a grade? When edweather is one grade below me. That's when I know I got it right.

This one, I'm awaiting images which give me a chance at an informed guess. It's kinda silly to try to grade 250px pics to a specific grade digit. They're not big enough - to my standards - to even decide if it's circulated or not.

It's okay Ed, I had someone argue over a 1945 D War Nickel that was in G-06, and he claimed it to be an XF-40...
