I am sure, for some members here that it is no big thing sending coins in to be graded.
For me it has me .. not sure nervous .. or maybe excited.
First I have spent the last year trying to decide what coins to send in. I started the paper work with different coins twice before. At this point I had to send in something, my five free submission coupon expires May 22nd.
Yesterday, with help from a local dealer, and a local CCF member, I got the submission form all filled out.
I think part of what is making me nervous is sending in five of my better coins and my credit card number.
Talking to NGC, they told me it would be 12 to 15 days to process them, once they received the coins.
Now it is me waiting to see if I get some good grades, so that it will make it worth while.

I feel your pain. It took me 2 years to get up the courage and I only did it when I knew I could hand deliver them to the ANACs guy at a coin show, here is the thread. https://goccf.com/t/186706It worked out fine, but I was a wreck waiting for their return. Tell us what you're submitting, and good luck with the submission!

When I join almost a year ago, I paid $120 or $125. That gave me a coupon for five submissions.
Sending these in cost me another $53, plus $18 I paid the post office to ship them.
I have a idea what most of these coins will grade, but there is hope I will get a surprise and couple will get a better grade than I am thinking.
Either way .. it will be a learning experience.

I am looking forward to following this thread. It will be a learning experience for me as well because I have never sent a coin in. All the coins I would consider submitting were slabbed when I bought them.

I may as well go ahead and post what I think the grades might be.
#1 1788 Vermont - would be nice to get a G6
#2 1875 Indian head - I would be happy with a AU grade and hope not a details.
#3 1914 D Indian head - Will be happy with a XF, not sure what they will say about the color/tone.
#4 - 1894 S Morgan - AU would be nice, again not sure what they will Say about the tone.
#5 - 1896 O Morgan - Hoping for low MS, will not be suprised if get's AU. This one is a good gamble, if could get a MS xx grade.

I think you have a good shot at low AU for the 1894-S and the 1896-O will likely be mid AU but hey, you never know. Looking forward to your results and my fingers are crossed for you.

I do not anything about early copper but I do not see the Vermont piece getting a G6. I would not know what this coin was if VERMON was as worn as the rest of the coin. The 1875 Indian looks like it very well could get a details grade. The others should get solid grades and I would not attempt to give an opinion on them without examining them in hand. GOOD LUCK!

Very nice batch of coins. I don't think 2,4 are even close to details coins. If any could go details I think it is the buffalo for the strong tarnish.

Nice going. Myself, I never send coins for grading. I try to put as many as possible in albums. Your going to have to start a slab collection now.

I want to send coins in for grading but I have no money, besides the fact that NGC requires a membership.

You can submit coins to NGC if you have an A.N.A. membership. Good luck with the submission.
