@Tbone

I read the link provided by Bstraus before I posted.

Now I ask anyone here If I had this same coin up on ebay for the same price how many of you here would argue that this is one of 50 known special presentation strikes?

There is nothing on that label that designates it as anyhting other than a Details coin. My bet is to a man you would all say I was crazy to ask that money for a details coin.

@ Tryna

You're probably right. Of course that's not the case with the coin since it's being offered by Julian Leidman.

I don't care who is selling it or their level of expertise, I wouldn't buy it unless ANACS states that.
Then why certify it?

Perhaps Julian has attributed this version himself like many cherry pick on die varieties, but it was already slabbed. Tell you what, I'll message him on ebay and ask how he's able to list it as a "Presentation Strike" and why that isn't noted on the ANACS slab.

I'll post back here later.

Well he responded very quickly.

Here was my message to him:

I was wondering how you were able to determine this was one of the 50 presentation strike coins? Since the price of a typical MS60 of the regular strike is valued around $300 or so.

Also, was wondering why it doesn't note that it's a presentation strike on the ANACS holder?

Thank you very much,

Here was response:

ANACS did not understand what this coin is. IMHO, this is one of the presentation strikes, as that is the impression that it makes on me.
Best
Julian

I wonder if he should contact ANACS and educate them a bit ;-)

ANACS should have put presentation strike on the holder.

ANACS should have been more clear in the description, but they may not agree it is one of the 50 presentation pieces in how the label is written.

Thank you TBone for going to the source, I've known Julian for a long time myself, he and I are Facebook friends too, and I know he has so much experience in pattern coins, more so than most dealers. I would not want to say it's not a presentation piece, but then, I'm no expert in commemoratives, nor this particular coin variety. It is only Julian's opinion that this coin is one of the 50 presentation coins issued, I'd give him and his years of experience the benefit of the doubt then, not a coin I'd personally buy anyways.
