Here is a 1875-S I traded for last week.
I would like you to grade it or post your remark about this coin

For most Seated Liberty coins you need at least 3 letters in Liberty to be visible in order to make VG. However, since Liberty was struck in relief on the 20-cent pieces (rather than recessed as on all other Seated Libs) the letters wore down quickly. Therefore, the standard for VG is looser for these coins.

I'd say this is a strong VG-8 coin. I don't see any major problems and the surfaces look pretty original. Looks like a very nice type coin to me!

I'm an inveterate grade inflator; I'll call it VG-10 for the nice strike and problem-free solid eye appeal. Would look nice in a 7070.

VG8 (perhaps a shot 10). But, this coin shows a relatively poor strike and a lot of wear. It looks good otherwise.

I agree with the crowd. Solid VG-8. If you can tilt it in the light and make out ANY of 'LIBERTY' on the shield, I'd go VG-10. (I don't see any letters in the pic.)

I've got one just like it.
