When I went to my LCS this morning I stopped to look at some currency thinking that I was good and deserved a treat.

Anyway, I saw 3 item were being offered all at the same price, but unfortunately I only had the funds to acquire two.

If you were in my shoes which two would you buy?

1: $5 National Currency 1929 issue from New York in a condition between G and F.

2: R5 Silver Certificate 1934c * issue in VF condition.

3: $2 U.S. Note in a 1963 issue nice and crisp and was being offered in a sequential count of four pieces.

So what would you buy?

I would get choices 1 and 2. Be sure to show us pics of what you do end up getting!

Uh .... 2 and 3 based only on condition.

Then I would toss and turn all night fretting about the one that got away,

Okay:

It seems like a number of responders had the same reaction that it had.

I was very interested in the $2 dollar bills. After all I don't think that there are very many consecutive bills from that time still together. I'm was not sure the value of 4 consecutive $2 bills were of the same value as items 1 and 2 were being offered for. I'm just not sure of the necessity of having the four bills from the same issue. On this I would be very happy to hear any pros or cons that others have care to voice their opinions. They were crisp and were not suffering from any folds. If they are still there when I do a return visit in two weeks, I'll definitely pick them up. If they're not there then they will be another regret in the history of my collection activity.

In the end I decided to go with Items 1 and 2 because that's where I figured the value was located. Remember all items were marked for basically the same price. I spent a long time before I made my decision to buy.

Both bills have been folded in their lives quite possible by the same person because each has folds. The 1929 bill having the most intrinsic value.

I hope I made the correct choice, but it is mine.

As far as pictures is concerned I do not have a camera. I will in the future, but not now. I don't know how to take pictures with my cell phone and download to the computer and then into this forum.

If you check ebay sold values you will notice that a run is not that hard to find. I still like choice #2.
