Heeee's back! Wow - finally! Its been a long time since I announced my recess from this family to devote all my time to the reference book I was writing in the insulator hobby. I am pleased to announce I am currently contacting publishers for prices, and the book is likely to debut at the National Insulator Show in Sandwich, Ill (outside Chicago) this coming July 3-5. It has been a wild 15 year ride. Inventing new identification systems, new terminology, finding the exact embossing details on (likely very close to) all the molds they used, and being able to uncover formerly undiscovered past history of the Brookfield Glass Co has been an amazing adrenalin rush at times. Playing Sherlock is fun So now back to coins...Yeehaw! And I don't know where to start! Most of the collection needs to be Cherry Picked, a desire to make plexiglass "album sheets" for the JFKs, wanting to use the label maker to make labels for all the 2X2s ... choices, choices! Looking forward to being back here! I missed everyone

Cool Buddy! If you make it, ask for Lee Brewer - most of the dealers are good friends or acquaintances so will be able to point you my way so we can meet F2F. No, I am not that important. The insulator hobby, although large, is a pretty tight knit community, and since I have been researching this for 15 years, they know me as the nut who first started to take an interest in this type of insulator

Welcome back. I would be interested in a copy of the book/works once published if I can afford it. I have always liked the subject and consider them works of art in their own way. (hope I didn't break any rules here)

John 1 - good reference and pertinent. I used to have a very old house (loved it) with the widows that started about a foot off the floor and went up to almost the ceiling. I nightly had students randomly show up (no exaggeration!) to visit. During the warm months there were three in particular who would always come in through the window form the porch. And you are right Mcshilling... also looking forward to 42'ing on the GTP @Dar... I will make a general post when I have them in hand. I don't know the cost yet b/c I am just getting quotes now from printers. Hopefully within a week I will be able to get the ball rolling, will be able to see how many need sold to recoup the printing cost, and then make a decent price for the buyers. This project has been about the fun of the insulator hobby, the fun of the research, and making the mystery of this major manufacturer be a mystery no more.
