Up for discussion tonight, which counts more toning or carbon spot distractors. BTW I have this at MS-63

Any way to make the freckles disappear? BTW Ed I can take that from you, you are both a gentleman and a scholar.

Quote: Any way to make the freckles disappear? Carbon spots are permanent. The only effective way to remove them is with strong heat, i.e. heat the coin until it glows red. This will also ruin the coin and instead of carbon spots you have regular, odd-looking spots. I like this coin, a few carbon spots don't really bother me on a toned coin that looks this good. MS-63RB

Sorry if I was being a bit harsh, I'll have to watch that. Inflection doesn't always come across well in writing

The uneven toning along with all the carbon spots could net this down to 62. It does have some eye appeal that could push it to 63 but I'm leaning towards 62
