Just found this, thought it was a new cent. It has nice luster. Thank you for your help.

No idea on grade but that is an incredible find! In change, a roll? On the ground?

In a bag of cents from the bank. I was truly surprised when I turned it over and saw the date.

Do most banks typically carry bags? How many per bag-I've gotten 25$ boxes but never thought of asking for bags?

I don't know if most do. Mine is a small bank that has a coin counting machine for people who bring in their change. Bags are usually $50.

I apologize for having to ask for a grade but I have no confidence in my grading ability.

I dont have enough experience grading either but ive been starting to study the ANA grading standards book and my little experience I'm going to try to say ms60 on reverse and au55/58 on obverse...but of course take that for what its worthwe will see what the pros say...

Wow!!..What a great find..
Nice looking coin, MS-61/2

Your first pic is nice the other ones have a bit too much light on them, gives a wash out appearance.
Rest in Peace

Seen just enough bumps and bruises to knock it down to a nice au55ish range.Very nice find from the wild though. Take good care of it as it has found a new home.

Your pics show no luster and make the coin look harshly cleaned. Looks to be from AU to 65.

Thanks for all of the input and I am sorry for the quality of pics. To better explain why I thought there was luster I have included new photos . These are taken from a different angle with automatic settings. Don't get me wrong, I'll take an 86 year old coin in AU+ condition any time. I just thought it was an unusual find in the wild.
