How low will this Peace dollar go?

I also got this Morgan but I can't read the date.

Paid $22 for both of them. I thought they were pretty cool. Imagine the miles these coins have traveled.

......as long as you know for a fact that there is no mint mark and that there never was one.

Yeah the date on the Peace dollar is pretty obvious. The Morgan is a different story. I have turned the Morgan at every angle possible under multiple light sources and I can't make out a date. They are cool coins in hand.

Just some comparison pictures of just how worn these coins are compared to MS examples.

The Morgan is the 1921-only reverse, and the mint mark should still show unless it were a really weak one. We can conclude it's almost certainly a 1921-P.

The Peace dollar is another story. Even if you could identify the date (I think it's a 1928, myself), the mint mark area is obliterated. No sure mint mark, no grade. Gotta be able to identify year and mint.

If the 1923 was Philly only you could grade it but as it is you can't make out a mint mark.

Maybe there was never a mint mark on the Peace dollar? I don't see one. It must be a 1923 from Philly.

Too worn to tell if there ever was a mint mark or not but send it in and see what happens.
