While not in the best of shape, it isn't in the worst either. I don't really care because, to me, this 1984-P 1DO-001 is one of the iconic doubled dies and I can't believe I just found one. Please, let me know what you think. Thanks.

Nice find. Always loved this one. I was able to be the very first individual to purchase one from the discoverer, Richard Austin of NY, in 1984 at the ANA Convention where he came to show the coin to Alan Herbert. He brought a roll and Alan sent him over to me. Interestingly, he left the show with 49 of the 50. I think I paid him $100 for a really nice one. I then turned around and advertised it for sale in Coin World and sold it. Wish I had it back.

Been looking for one for awhile as well. Even during my decade hiatus I've always remembered this and a couple of other penny dates that I've always checked for ddos. I told a dealer at a coin show recently that I've been looking for one for awhile and it was nice to see one in the flesh. I guess he didn't pick up that I meant CRH'ing because boy he whipped out that grey sheet faster then I could finish my sentence.

Great find, especially out in the wild. I have one of these to represent the Zinc years for the LMC in my Type collection.
