Another chance to offer your opinion on a classic coin.

Just got back this morning from NGC.

Posting the raw pictures now, will post the graded slab later today.
This is a better date nickel

I'm gonna guess they graded it EF-45. The toning appears to be natural.

AU55 here too. Looks like a woody Buffalo, don't think I've seen one like that.

I should apologize for leaning towards guessing the grade
for this post .. which would mean it would belong in the grading section. And coins like these are very hard to grade,
even harder from a picture.

To me, what makes this coin interesting is it's color.
It is not stained, and I don't think toned.

I have tried different things with it, I think the color
is really part of the metal .. as someone else said.
Like a Woody Lincoln Cent.

Also the grade of this coin is really classic. The way I
look at it, I can see slight wear on the high points of the coin. Like the center of the Indians hair and date, On the
reverse the horn, head and hips.

Sending it in, I was thinking for at least a XF, but hoping for more. And was worried what they would say about the color.

I think NGC got this right, and I am happy with the grade.

No problem!

I must say this is a fine looking nickel. Out of my league for sure, but still amazing.
