I really like these tokens they look so much like an error. I believe one's with no signs of the underlying coin are worth more and harder to find but I like them with a strong underlying design showing. However I have no idea of what to look for in grading these any help would be greatly appreciated.
If I'm correct it's a Lower Canada token circa 1812 and the Cat. # is LC-49A1.
These were usually struck over a host coin. As such, grading is perplexing. As far as I am concerned, the condition of the host coin should not be taken into consideration. The grade should only reflect the condition of the re-strike. Yours is a typical F-VF.
I want to thank everyone for the replies it's greatly appreciated. I was kind of hoping others would show some more of these tokens as the one's I come across online don't seem to have an underlying coin showing.
