Today I received a package from PCGS it has $35,000 worth of coins in it, I should be pretty pleased with that. However they are NOT my coins, they belong to a dealer In Perth. It took a few phone calls and emails but I tracked the owner down. This could easily of ended up in tears, luckily they ended up on my doorstep

Karma will have a way of thanking you. Someone else would have been thrilled to receive the lot of coins and not say a blessed thing. Good job

Wow. Great story. I think PCGS should give you a few free grades at least.

Nothing remarkable about making sure that these coins get delivered to their rightful owner, I like to think that most people would do the same thing. What is remarkable is that this stupid mistake happened in the first place. Someone at PCGS will probebly loose their job over this as the submitter of these coins is very well respected amongst the Australian numismatic community .

Fantastic on doing the right thing!
Did you also have coins in with PCGS at the time? I was wondering if the dealer received your coins and they switched up the 2 addresses...

Yes I do but my tracking shows they are going through Australian customs and I don't expect to get them for a week or so. This was just an absolute screw up on behalf of PCGS and needs to be addressed ASAP

Even if someone would like to keep them the chances of an investigation landing on your doorstep is almost a certainty. It's all about what you do once they're in your custody. Koodos to you trout Now, if only that box of rocks from Coober Pedy found its way to your door step
