Was at the flea market yesterday in Southern Alberta and came across these and some other items in a package deal.(links at bottom of page) Are the silver eagles bullion or something else ? The others I have no idea of their worth ,I collect mostly Canadian. Thanks for the help. The rest of the package here https://goccf.com/t/231219https://goccf.com/t/231218Edited by T1Steel 05/31/2015 4:37 pm

Yes, the silver eagles are just 1 ounce of silver. The 69 and 69 Kennedy half dollar are 40% silver. The Other half dollars are 90% silver. THe Buffalo nickel is just a nickel. Worth about a dollar Awesome finds! If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay?

The Silver eagles are minted by the US Mint, they do have some collector value as well as being Silver. I guess they would be the US equivalent of a Silver Maple from Canada.

According to google converter, $110 in Canadian money is worth approx $88 in US.
For that, yeah, you did pretty good.

I knew it was going to be confusing but I could not post everything in one post ,so I had to separate the package to its own proper forum and link to them. I ended up with some nice stuff to look at and throw it into the pile , someone will be happy when I am gone. Thanks

Very nice pickup! $88 USD is right around spot. I wish I could find anything like that at flea markets here. If they have silver coins that aren't copies, they're usually double that!

Nice purchases. I miss this one flea market we used to have. No shortage of coins, with some deals to be had. That was a lot time ago though.

I think you made a fair deal.
I was just adding up what it would cost through the coin shop I help at and it would have been $88.20 USD

That is why I love flea markets. You really did OK there. I just don't know why Canada can't change to our money system. Would make things so much easier.
