I've never actively collected American coins but I've come into acquisition of quite a few over the course of 40 years or so. There's not much interest in American coins at the auctions I attend so I sometimes get to pick up some nice coins very cheaply. This is one of those coins I thought looked pretty decent and came cheap. However I sure would appreciate some opinions on the grade?
I've been watching earlier post trying to get an idea of grades so I'll take a stab at it and guess MS-62 maybe but I really don't know.TIA

Cheers, Bill

Nice-looking coin. However,I maintain (especially with the 1943 LWC) that it is impossible to correctly judge the grade of an uncirculated or near-uncirculated coin from pictures.

This coin was on a tray with a group of other US cents and the tray was auctioned off on choice. I won with a $2.25 bid and choose four coins this 1943 and a 1949D, 1954 and a 1959D, I think they're all uncirculated coins the rest on the tray were circulated or had a problem. I think they're all common coins and I'm not sure if I got a deal or not but it's not that much anyway.

Cheers, Bill
