1954-S Roosevelt dime, A Flattened 4 and the lower part of the 5.

Has anybody else seen this error, and any idea what it's worth, my had parents had saved a set of 1954 coins for me on my birth year, yea I know that make 60 years old, been coins since I was 14.
but today is the first time, I looked real close a these coins.

I'm thinking damage, but , close-ups would be useful. It may be an error.

Looks like a partial grease strike issue. The "IN WE" are also affected. Still a BU coin and silver. A keeper.
