Did anyone receive the following e-mail:
Subject: We hope this isn't the end
You hate spam and we do too
You haven't bought from us in a long time. We'll take you off our list after this. But if you'd like to stay with us, we'll offer you a free gift with your next order.
You'll need to hurry - it's a limited time offer for 3 days only!
P.S. Don't forget that we have free shipping* on orders of $100 or more, an easy returns process and a 30-day money back guarantee.
The free gift offer is the Charlton Standard Catalogue, Canadian Coins: Volume 1, Numismatic Issues
Anyone receive any different offers?
Ordering the $200 for $200 works!

promo code CCVOL1
Works on any orders (not those that just received the email). Any customer who spend $300 will get it, including Master Club members.

I got this also but with a note that I had not ordered anything form them in a long time and they wanted to give me a gift. It said just to put the code on my next order - no minimum purchase. Ironically I had just ordered the Bugs Bunny 20 for 20 a couple hours earlier! Had I got their email earlier though I wonder if they would have allowed the code to be applied since the 20 for 20s ship free... even to the States!

The email doesn't mention anything about a limit but once you type in the promo code they give you this message "You have attached the following coupon to your profile: CCVOL1. Your coupon will apply automatically if the following applies to your order: Receive a free Canadian Coins: Volume 1, Numismatic Issues (2015) when your order is $300 or more."

Just received this e-mail... Looks like there is no minimum purchase! I guess they have so many books, they just want to give them away!! So, you can now buy a $20 for $20 coin and get a free book!
We recently sent you an offer for a free gift on your next order. If you tried the code and were told you had to spend $300, we apologize - there is no minimum order value. We hope you come back and enjoy your free gift with purchase. Use promo code CCVOL1 during the checkout to receive a free copy of Canadian Coins: Volume 1, Numismatic Issues†on your next order. P.S. Don't forget that we have free shipping* on orders of $100 or more, an easy returns process and a 30-day money back guarantee

Are you able to get a $20 for $20 coin plus use the promo code and get free shipping? When I tried adding a $20 for $20 coin it said shipping was free. However when I applied the promo code it added the free book but then also added shipping and tax.

unless you are a MC member you don't automatically get free shipping. the 20 4 20 coins are free shipping, however the book is not, so you are paying for the shipping for the book plus the taxes for the shipping (just GST because shipping is a service)

There is a parallel promotion where shipping is free with $100 or more purchase of coins for non MC members. You won't get free shipping with a single $20 for $20.
BTW, there is no longer any $300 minimum to get the free book.

You can be an MC Member and still qualify for the book. It worked for me. Ordered one $20 for $20 coin and got the free book with free shipping.

Seeing as how my MC now has 7.99 shipping (?), I said the heck with it and used another email address I have, created a new account and picked up another set of the "Canadian Flag - 25-cent Circulation Coin Pack", used the coupon code "CCVOL1" and got the "Canadian Coins: Volume 1, Numismatic Issues" added on for free. After shipping and taxes, the order came to $11.69. I already had one of the books myself, but now I've snagged another one for my son. He won't need to borrow mine. Cheaper than Chapters too, and I got the flag coins as a bonus.

I got the same email and ordered a 2015 PL set to get the free book. Funny thing is I just ordered some items recently and this went to a different email address the Mint had on file, so I guess they're hitting up everyone.
Went in on a hunch and tried CCVOL2 and it also worked but the order would have to have been $300 or more for me to qualify.

The Charlton coin book is on backorder! Gee. Coins came, but no book. Only a receipt indicating backorder. Maybe the book will arrive in 2016, making the book very obsolete by then.
