That is pretty bad.. It's a fake that has been antiqued, rubbed to make it look like wear and then photographed on the tip of somebody's finger. Would you seriously hold a higher grade 16-D flat on your finger?

A most definite fake. EVERYTHING looks wrong. Color, date, rims, mintmark, wear, etc.

Yeah this looks like one of the worst fake Mercury dimes I have ever seen, maybe it's just the pictures but the font just looks wrong.

seller added this additional information. this piece is believed to be a commemorative? or copy coin? it is of silver construction. I can not grade this coin butt I do not collect ask any questions if need be i had pulled this out of a Mercury dime book from the 1960s, that I had bought at an estate sale. paypal only usps to the lower 48 no returns

One of the worst fakes I've seen. But imagine if it was real and he put a nasty fingerprint on the coin/ dropped it on the window sill below him!

Placing that on his finger and taking the photo next to a window looks just to dumb. Looks all wrong as to color of coin too. Almost looks like Lead.

Liberty is all wrong, but I wonder if I did not know it was fake if I would be so certain? Was this sold or advertised as genuine?
