It was a slow day at the coin shop. But then some 2009 Washington and Lincoln Rolls ... rolled in. The price was right so I brought them home. I did not have any rolls of LP3 and LP4 Lincolns. So now I have 5 rolls of each P and D, I think I have enough now. If you trust what you can read, LP3 and LP4 Lincoln's are harder to find. 2009 Washington's were also needed for my collection .. and I also like that most are Mint wrapped rolls. Some of the Territory quarters, are lower mintage and a little harder to find. And ... you never got enough quarters ....

Nice score. Do you plan on looking for errors/varieties and higher grades or keeping them unopened? John1

Chances are that you will find a few DDRs if you searched for them. Nice addition to the collection.

No plan to look for varieties at this time, I am not sure what I might do in the future. 20 of the Lincoln rolls were opened and put into coin tubes. Some of the mint roll wrappers were taped to the rolls. All the mint rolls I will not open, I just put them into roll boxes .. and store them, with other rolls.

Quote: I woulda been on those Lincoln rolls like a bad suit on a circus clown! Ken ... I was feeling something like that when I saw them. Recently I have been watching ebay for the two roll mint boxes of LP3 and LP4. If I bought them on ebay, I would paid more for four rolls then I did for these 20 rolls. Very very happy these rolled in today

Out of curiosity, how much are the rolls going for these days? I've been thinking about offloading my stash, but I don't remember the last time I saw a roll on ebay that sold.

There are many Double Die varieties in those 2009 Lincoln Cent rolls (especially from Mint's rolls). The Splitting Log (LP2) has 101 DD varieties, many of them are major. Keep an eyes out for those and you may get lucky.

An article written by James Porter (not sure if he's related to Ken Porter) that talked about DD of 2009 Lincoln Cent. As he noted in his article, there are DD varieties in other LP designs too, not just LP2.
