3-8-2016 update
Ohio proofs are finished as Charter #'s 13256 and others beyond this fall into the Series of 1929 and the BEP no longer engraved the bank information into the plate rather it was overprinted.
Oklahoma Box 1 has been posted for transcription. I imagine this will go rather quickly as there are only 206 pages.

Indian Territory!? Wow. I just never thought about banks setting up shop in such areas. I don't know why they wouldn't -- just never thought about it before.

Meadowview, you have an awesome job. You work at the Smithsonian? I can only imagine the kinds of things you have access to. Thanks for sharin.

Unfortunately, I don't work at the Smithsonian. A couple of years ago there was an article stating that the Smithsonian is digitizing several of their collections and wanted volunteers. Last summer I found the link to sign up as a volunteer and did. I originally started this thread to ask if anyone else had signed up to help. I then decided I'd post if there were boxes to transcribe in case anyone is following this thread. Along the way questions asked and answered; there are posts about a couple of proofs and an example of an issued note from the bank. I've also shared some basic information on nationals to share my knowledge. If you want to volunteer here's the link https://transcription.si.edu/browse?filter=owner:7I'm glad the Smithsonian is digitizing some of their collections/materials as it makes it available for everyone instead of us having to travel there to get access. -MV

<sigh> Still on Oklahoma? I'm waiting impatiently for my home state of Oregon. Guess I'd better get to work and clear these out ... :-)

WOW! This is fascinating! No currency to be transcribed at the moment, but did do a couple of pages from various field guides. It is really cool!
