Slightest luster breaks and only the smallest indication of rub at the very highest points of the design keep this from a high MS grade. As shown, I'd agree with the AU-58 assessment. Too bad because the lack of abrasions or bag marks (particularity on the reverse) is outstanding.

AU-58, I don't really see any wear, but there is very little luster present, and there are breaks in luster as well.

Certainly it's either a 58 or a 64. Beautiful specimen.

AU55/58 to me beyond the luster breaks, I don't see too many bad marks, just one little spot/ding on the reverse @ 9:00. Love to see sharper focused photos. That is a nice coin.

I think all saint gaudens double eagles are nice, no matter what condition they're in.

Using Photograde as a guide, I had this at AU-58 which seems to be what several here were thinking.

I officially rescind my opinion of authenticity. I took a closer look at this one after seeing the two Seated dollars you posted, and I believe this coin is a counterfeit, although still made of gold. All of the circled marks are depressions from contact marks were transfered from the host coin to the counterfeit die, a classic diagnostic of counterfeits. My first impressions were that the coin looked too "clean," but now I think it is counterfeit.
