Another one for you to take a shot at.

1888 Liberty Seated dime. PCGS slabbed, green CAC.

Seller photos. There are no scratches or smudges on the reverse or obverse.

This is a very interesting coin for reasons some of you may figure out. :)

Looks like struck through on the United? Can't call it MS, no luster visible, AU-58.

I think too much light is washing away the luster that is present. Ms62 struck through

My first impression was struck through, but now I think lamination. My reasoning is that there is a slight peal going through STATES, (witch may be a scratch on the slab?) So because PCGS says details on lamination, I say AU details. But does CAC cac details coins?

Really hard to judge given bounceback. Agree probably struck-through at 9:00, but it could be almost anywhere between 58 and 64.

This one is apparently more tricky than I thought. I'll post some more pictures when I have the slab in hand.

Hint: It's not even an Uncirculated grade. ;)

I'll have to "prove" its luster once it arrives

I'm not buying it. Oh well. I can't believe they did not say anything about the error.

I'm waiting to see if it's a slab defect or a coin defect.

I suspect it's a slab issue, or even the camera lens the seller used.

If it's a coin defect...that would be quite impressive, it would make it a possible adjustment strike or even a strike-through.
