Picked up this piece from a fellow coin club member. The original dealer flip had a notation "old cleaning" which I agree with; however, it was a very light cleaning since there are no hairlines and the coin still retains some cartwheel luster on both sides. Perhaps this would be considered "market acceptable" cleaning by today's standards.

Anyway, I'd grade it AU-55 details, with Full Head. How would you all call it?

I think AU-55 Details is fair, shame though, it's a nice coin.

I agree with au55 possibly au58 too bad a light cleaning its a nice coin regardless...

I cannot avoid seeing some graininess on the obv and personally would not pay more than XF $ on this coin.

It would surprise me to see NGC or PCGS assigning an AU designation on this one but I could be wrong which always irritates me.

I'm seeing graininess on both sides. otherwise real nice coin.

AU-55FH details. Let it sit on your window sill for a month or 2 flipping it over each week. It may re-tone a bit.
