I have noticed may people enjoy collecting these coins, including myself. I was just wondering how many of these coins members have. Also it has been mentioned that they are becoming harder to find. I have found this (and Jeff), is anybody else finding the same? I just thought I would get everyones thoughts on the topic in the one area. Happy new year everybody (bit late)!

Have you looked at any of the proof sets available in some of the shops according to Maccas about 50% of the proof sets had the large head design in them.

I have a few of these coins now. I have hoarded some and sold some. I was wondering what people consider there value to be! Any thoughts? I have sold some of these for as low as $2.50 but at one point I sold a sheet at $13.50 each. At the moment they seem to be around the $2.50 area.

I found one the other day but there was a new girl at work and she hadnt seen one let alone have one so I gave it to her. A freind up Canberra way is finding a lot at the moment. I have kept some for me but sold around 50 last year for $13 each . Prices have dropped since then but I will hold on to what I have now. Happy hunting

They seem to be easier to find down south. Nothing much happening with them here in Brisbane. I do have some but wouldn't be disappointed if I happened across one now & then, it keeps the interest in searching alive to make a 'find'.

Only ever found one in Brisbane also. Have bought a few recently from ebay for $3.00- $6.00 in good VF- Good EF, and noticed a bulk lot of 10 selling for $29 or so. Really after the large 50 cent 04 now, so will have to keep checking for broken down mint sets. Not really the same as finding one I know, but don't think any of the 50 cent large went into circulation. Happy hunting all

Well done justa.... farnby...I've been looking for a 2004 Large Head 50¢ for over 2 yrs, haven't seen one yet, good luck, I hope you find one. I've found 6 x 2004 large head 20¢ in Brisbane, but none now for over a year. It seems they've all migrated down south.

Does anyone have a photo comparsion of the 2004 20 and 50 cents for the small and big head? I find it a bit difficult to visualize at the moment.

gx.. the easiest way to see the diff is to check the A's in the text. On the Large Head the A has a sharp point at the top, on the small head type its flat.
I'll send you a PM with a picture attached.
