2000 Maryland Missing Clad Error? - Coin Community Forum

Tenhulz Valued Member United States 134 Posts	Posted 07/25/2015 8:57 pm funny coop, it is corroded, yes, but it is also brown like a pennie...im just wanting to learn what caused the brown color and I would also like to clean off the corroding as well because I think it is cool....there are alot more on ebay like these (without the corroding) that are for sale 40-300 dollars... coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 07/25/2015 11:33 pm When a toned/corroded coin goes back into circulation, the highest points of the design show silver when they are worn off on those areas. On a missing clad coin this does not happen as there is no silver color. Just copper. Just loot at the rims on your coin. They are silver colored. Report this Post to the Staff
