Looks like it belongs somewhere in the AU's.

Peace dollars are always hard to grade from photos only. That being said, it is always difficult on the 1934 D because of some light strike problems that are common, especially at the centers. I do detect the slightest rub at the eagle's shoulder on the reverse, and perhaps a few indications of rub on Liberty's hair highlights on the obverse. I'd say a strong AU 55, at the very least. However, as mentioned, without seeing this in hand it is a little tricky to know for sure.

Agree with mox. Could be solid AU or even UNC, hard to distinguish between rub and strike from the photos. Still, very attractive piece.

It looks like scanned images to me and it's slightly circulated.

my issue is the price, it would have to pull ms63 for me to pay close to what seller is asking. I guess I could offer him 100, I kind of feel like its insulting though even though really its not because a non variey coin is much less than 300 in MS.

It is lacking mint frost or tone, could be MS details for cleaned or over dipped.

The coin will not grade MS as there is no luster and the neck is showing circulation rub. AU 58 On a Peace dollar one of the first places the graders look for circulation rub is the center line of the neck.

Looks 62 or 63 to me. I would have no problem buying this coin at my suggested grades if I was in the market for a 34-D. I see no rub on the high points and no distracting marks. Pretty nice coin!

Like mox said, Peace dollars are often very hard to grade from a photo, especially those with weak strikes, which this one seems to have. The type of frosty finish they often have can obscure or disguise the luster, and the weak strike can be mistaken for wear. But it does look like there are breaks in the frostiness, particularly on the neck, but also on the cheek, jaw, and some hair, and the front edge of the eagle's wing and leg. AU-55
