Something about this coin I found to be attractive. I don't know what, exactly, but not having owned any of the larger size CBQ's, this seemed like a nice place to start without needing to rob a bank. Toning is stated as, and seems to be, gold with green. Seller pictures. It's in a problem-free NGC slab. **NGC graded it F-15! Good job, CCF!** Confirmed attribution Browning 1 (B-1), R-5. Seller had it listed as a Small 9 variety in the title. Thanks for looking. I appreciate all of your feedback and opinions -- the education I receive here helps me make better, smarter, purchases (well, except when that animal part of my brain takes over and screams BUY IT!) I'll go with F15, but F20 popped into my mind first without cheating.

Just noticed the die crack from 12th star running over to shoulder on obverse. That + the raised E in UNITED, and the B-1 attribution looks ok to me, but I would appreciate input from someone with more experience.

My first thought was VF20 and it has to be a 15 anyways. Question I would have is how dark is it? You don't have to worry much about originality when you see a patina like that!

It looks brownish in the pics but it's more of a golden toning. I'll take pictures with my new Canon once I get the coin in hand.

It is a B-1. F15 or VF20. Quote: this seemed like a nice place to start Quite an understatement! Fantastic coin.

I would call it F-15 although I said that about the 1837 that was recently posted and PCGS said VG-10 on that one too... PCGS was of course wrong

Very nice CBQ, nice tone and fully original grading F15. These coins, specifically large diameter quarters 1815-1828 are quite scarce, specially in grades better than F12 or so.

You guys are Capped Bust Pros! NGC did in fact give it a grade of F-15.
