1953 Jefferson Nickel Possible Error

I am new here and also new to finding any errors, but this looks to me like something was struck through. Any help with identification, collectability, and value is appreciated. A sure sign of it being a lamination rather than a struck through. A struck obliterates the design where this happens. (depending on how large the struck through is) Note the right wheat lines?
