Really? I have 18 70s's and coin #1 is the only one lacking the horizontal crease in the seven, the numbers are also thinnerwith a different slant. The other #2 I'm 98% sure is a LD, but when compared side by side, #1 is noticeably smaller in the "70" and the bottoms of the "1,7,0 line up very close.....arrgg....if your certain its a Large Date though, I'm sure it is.

Large date.

On the small date, the tops of the "7" and "0" line up evenly. On your coin they are offset. That makes it a large date.

Keep looking they are still out there.

The bottom of the 7 and the 0 also line up on a small date. The 7 is lower on a large date.

to CCF!

Look at the 9 - the curl does not point towards the MM as far as I can tell which makes them small dates!

I plucked a roll (or more) of 1970S from circulation; all are LD. It's a really tough find from the wild, but folks here have found them. I've read that most of the SD variety are found in Mint Sets (which is where mine resides). Good luck in finding yours!

The first one looks like the small date then the 2nd one looks like a large date. You can clearly see the difference in the two coins posted.

Perhaps what I see on the end of the curl of the 9 is a bit of damage...(?)

That is what I'm seeing. A damaged mark on the inner curl. If you have a business card or even better yet a clear card they give out on advertisements that is in the shape of a credit card, this makes it hand to show the bottom of the 7 is below the 1 & 0 on both coins. This same card is also handy to compare RPM locations on cents as well. With the images bottom edge you can see where a vertical line would fall in reference to the date. Or across the bottoms of the digits to see how far below the mint mark is located. (works most of the time, unless the images are not rotated exactly the same)
