I agree, Ed. I'm planning on some acetone to see if it gets the junk off, crack out and resub. I have a few free subs to pcgs/ngc.

It is, but I don't like the gunk all over the coin.

Wow, if you have that coin in a righteous holder, I'd leave it. The holder is the best thing going for that coin. Why grab defeat from the jaws of victory.

Find another messed up large cent to play with, there are tons of them out there cheap

Yes, it is in a problem free holder. It was a very cheap purchase from a local seller (about 20 miles away.)
