I'm on board with AU-53 details, and genuine. ANACS has "scratched" some of my submissions when the marks were less obvious than that scratch across the eagle's wing and upper leg. Still, maybe they will give it a pass. Fingers crossed!

The Coin is on the way back from ANACS. I will post Photo's when I get it back, probably Tuesday or Wednesday.

I would post the ANACS images of the slab, but would prefer to get better shots with my set up.

I am quite pleased with the outcome. ( I think they call this a teaser)

Stay tuned!

I'm in with XF-45. I think the scratch is well hidden and won't affect the grade.

Curious. Did you cherry this or did the seller know it was an 11-D? I picked an XF weak D back in 1993 for $130.00. never found another.

It's Back in hand. AU-50 problem free. I was curious, they slab "Weak D" and "Strong D". Mine has no designation....I guess it's the normal D? lol

I was fearing the "Details Grade", but am pleased with the end result.

Thanks to all for your opinions, some of you were spot on!

I have a collecting buddy that wants the coin. I am trying to come up with a reasonable price since he is a friend.

I checked some ebay sold prices to get an idea. Is $1,750. a fair price to offer it to him? If It realized 2k on ebay, my fee's would run about $220.

any thoughts? Am I asking too little or too much?

I wish I could keep all the coins, but like everyone else I have some bills to pay.

Thanks for any advice or opinions!

it's a tough date and problem free in a TPG. This is a coin in demand. It's not a high end AU but it's high end for the grade and price.
