Thanks Ray, but how can you tell? I compared t to pics of lg vs. sm motto and the D in god and T in trust are right beside the ribbon fold. Also, feathers to right of date look larger than those to the left.

The ends of the ribbon. Also the T on a small motto has to pretty much be touching the curve of the WE part of the ribbon.

I agree with 52Raymo. Large Motto. As for grade, I'd say AG/G.

I found a great article by a Richard Barnes just now and it easily proved you guys are correct (unfortunately). :( Here's a link that may help others http://www.winsociety.org/library/1...nostics.html (hope it posts). The easist way for me to tell was the curved stalk on the uppermost berry left side next to arrow-small motto it would be straight. Thanks alot guys!

The location of the first T in trust and the ends of the ribbons make it really easy for me.

I very much appreciate all the information provided. I still have the small motto as my last 2 cent that I need (as is probably the case for many). Although I've read the detailed diagnostics on the differences, several of you pointed out little details that I hadn't noticed before that REALLY make it easy to distinguish one from another.

On the grade, I would say G-04.

AG/G and a LM as others have said, it's tough to find (cherrypick) a SM but it can be done online, or at a show, usually in low grade where the motto is worn smooth.
