Methinks they be desperate for marketing ideas.

Don't get me wrong - I think introducing the hobby to kids is a GREAT idea. But the "Back to School Sale" concept sort of hits me like a local grocery store (Agway, gas station, etc.) advertising for the same.

Hey parents - Shop here for your Back to School lunch bananas!

A free gallon of Acme "Back to School" windshield washer fluid with fillup! You'll need a clean windshield to drive your children safely to the front door when classes start again!

I guess my perspective as a teacher makes me too narrow of a thinker on B2S sales. I tend to associate the term with pencils, paper, clothes, shoes, etc.

Three different finishes - proof, uncirculated, and circulating in the Coin Discovery Set. Does this mean there are two tiny gremlins inside passing one of the coins back and forth?

I could use coins to distract from going back to school.
At least there isn't pumpkin spice coins in the fall, that would be weirder.

Yeah, I think the kindest word I could use for this is "oxymoronic." Less-generous interpretation might lead one to subtract the oxygen from that term.

What if in the interest of actually having knowledgeable cashiers in the future, they are making this sale FOR teacher to be able to have examples of coins to show kids, rather than getting them FOR kids? I have rarely seen anything in a b2s sale that couldn't be used by both teacher and students. Though the college professor with the My Little Pony bookbag better be a woman professor or expect strange looks.
