At least I haven't.

I visited my LCS few days ago; just to find out there are plenty of silver bullion in stock. Their silver rounds are twice as much as few months ago.

Moreover, my friend told me today that APMEX is doing sweepstake sales promotion; i.e. if you place an order; you will have a chance to receive some FREE silver.

Therefore, I am holding off large purchase until Thanksgiving; since I know the silver spot was among the lowest in last two occasions.

I keep hearing about it but it has not affected me. My LCS talks about it and his inventory of new bars is depleted. Could be less sellers at the low spot. I did hear of less mining and RCM stopping 10oz bars and many dealers out/low on 100oz bars. I think it's all temporary. Low price = no motivation to find new silver. Price goes up due to supply/demand. Miners start producing again supply needs are met and price drops. Or who knows.

I would be buying right now but the premiums are a joke. I got better prices when silver was @ 16.

I help out at two different coin shops, our silver supply is low and moves fast. We could sell 500 to 1000oz more a week .. If we could get it.

A customer came in yesterday wanting a monster box of ASE's.
Our supplier informed us they were 30 days out of stock.

When we get any ASE's or bigger amounts of 90%, we have
customers that want us to call, they come right in and buy what
we have.

I feel that coin shops selling at good prices, are not having
any problems selling their silver.

Now is the time to stock up if you've got the funds.

Or is it? One philosophy is that it never hurts to keep buying as market value drops. But that's assuming it'll rebound one day. Remember those days 3 or 4 years ago when Ag was at or near $50/oz?! Wow.

I'm not seeing many sales (like less than $1/oz premium) from the online dealers either.

I also keep hearing about a silver shorted here in Canada, the coin shop I deal with will answer that question for me. Anytime I go in to buy,he always has his display case full of silver, can't make heads or tails on this topic

I don't think there is a shortage. All the shops near me say no one is really selling to them and sales are great. They are also well stocked and not running out of anything. Plenty of junk silver here too.

I went to a LCS I have never been to before about 20 miles from my house, he snarked at me when I asked if he had any junk silver. Told me he had a waiting list.

The LCS I frequent often has junk quarters, dimes and halves frequently. Guess it just depends on the store and stock.

The dealer at a local coin shop in my area said that they haven't received any silver from their supplier in over a month and are not getting much coming in over the counter. They have always have had quite a bit available in previous dips but this time they are almost completely out with only better condition junk silver remaining and Silver Dollars remaining.

A shortage? You kidding? An overabundance at the shows and shops. Dealers and stackers got stuck with tons of stock when the price corrected and are begging people to take it off their hands.

Can't blame them for begging, with premiums of some stock approaching 50% or more ~ what gives?

We usually buy a 1-oz silver Eagle as the membership drawing for our monthly coin club meeting. For September my usual shop was out of all the "common" Eagles; all they had were the scarcer dates with $8+ premium over spot. I picked a Maple leaf instead with just a $3 premium.

Silver spot price is testing $16 per oz repeatedly for the last several trading sessions.

It seems many online dealers are very well stocked at this moment; silver shortage is resolved. :-)
