What do you think about the grade? I usually don't collect these but I loved the toning and die crack on this one. I posted two different shots of the obverse.

I love toned coins like this so I'm biased. But I think I'm seeing some dings on Roosevelt below all the colors - so I'll say MS64 - and add a star; as NGC sometimes likes this kind of toning.

Going with a MS65 with a chance at MS66, heck it could even get a 67 off the obverse.

On the obverse I see a one distracting tick. Right on the nose. Maybe a couple on the jowel, maybe one in the area between the eye and the ear. Nice of the OP to include two photos there as the one photo, while of very nice quality, is masking the nose nick.

On the reverse, one mark on either side of the torch under pluribus. A few minor marks in the torch flame on the right side. A few minor marks also in the leaves on the left side, right side of the leaves on the left side of the reverse, easy for me to say.

No noticeable issues with the third side of the coin, the rim.

Again though, the obverse was outstanding other than the nick on the nose. You can only see it in the one photo and not the other despite having very nice picture quality. Just goes to show you with pics.

I am actually back tracking the more I write this. Put me down for MS66 with a chance at +/- 1. More of a chance of going to 67 than being a 65 if Vegas is taking applications for coin grading / oddsmakers. Taking the nice obverse over the weaker reverse is like getting home court and the points.

I was giving my honest opinion CHD. I think it is MS62. I might be undergrading though. I do admit it is closer to 64.

It's a later die stage and weakly struck up which brings the "estimated" grade down that we think of.

I agree with the grade as given.
