Once more ill put up my Wreath I just got--this time with a better picture. In hand it looks better. Just notice the sharpness and minimal distractions-even color. No cuts and hardly any notable contact marks. A very nice coin to me---- What's your take on this Topic for your opinion of grade ? *** Edited by Staff to clarify topic title. I wouldn't know where to begin on grading these, I'm always way low on the grades. There does appear to be some nice lamination issues on the reverse though. I wish I had that coin

This is way out of my league, I'll probably never own one of these. It sure does look pretty, though.

Wow... Very nice indeed! I'm not very good at grading these but man, that's a nice coin!

OK, well I'll take a shot at VF35, just looking at PCGS Photograde. Not sure if the Photograde is accurate, but it'll give a starting point. If you don't have any family, please remember me in your will

I was working this morning on an EAC grade for this nice S-10, but then my network connection was lost.
I see it also as VF35 details, with the obverse possibly a few points higher. The overall condition (3 are possible in EAC) is 'average'. Surface quality and colour on the obverse are nice - reasonably smooth, no porosity or corrosion. The reverse is not as nice - the colour (at least from the picture) seems a mix of tan/black/green. Not an usual colour and possibly not that appealing. The surfaces appear to be devoid of porosity or corrosion, but do show what appear to be fissures. Not too serious, but do distract. The reverse brings the net grade down a few points. How many? this is where subjectivity comes in. In my opinion the net EAC grade would be EAC 20 to 25, average.

I like GERMANICVS's analysis and agree.

Beautiful coin. What a great piece of history. Obviously details due to some issues on the reverse but the devices to me look better than VF35. Reverse lettering and bow are much more pronounced than a 35 would warrant as well as face and hair detail. This coin is very close to XF40 details but 35 without a doubt at the worst

I would say VF-35 details as well. A very interesting piece of American history right there.

First off.....stunning! I would gladly add that coin to my 7099. I put it at 30-35 for a market grade. I also believe it is a details coin as most are. Very desirable and appealing coin.

GERMANICVS is spot on and think there's not much more that I can add. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful example! Thanks for sharing with us.

VF35 Dets. Not in my league but I'll give it a shot. I think you should send to PCGS to protect it.

I think this would straight grade at PCGS. For a 1793 the problems seem minor. Stunning coin!
