First listing:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1799-DRAPED...em1ea22f8e75

Buyer must have returned it.

Currently relisted:

Now states that the coin is "altered" with a seam on the rim. It really should be listed as "counterfeit" albeit from the looks of it an older and well done one.

It's just listed in the description, it isn't in the photos. A real coin shouldn't have a seam on the rim. A photo of this would be nice. I'm not even sure what exactly is supposed to be altered.

If it's a counterfeit, it's a good one.
Weight Tolerance would still fall into place.
The reverse looks "soft" like it almost is not a struck Coin.

Electrotype? A photo of the seam would really be helpful here. And the weight too.

Lots of words about dealer integrity in the description. I'd like to see a photo of the seam.

23 people have bid, even though PCGS says "authenticity unverifiable"!

Early electrotypes can be quite valuable...

I like it.

Not a 188 or 189 reverse.

For $150 or less it could fill that hole nicely!

I'm close to convincing myself to let an electrotype sit in that spot in my album.....

It is quite attractive, and in a holder you don't see very often!
