Hello all, I've been enjoying the Coin Community forums for quite some time as a guest and have finally decided to take the plunge and register as a member. I've been collecting coins and tokens for over thirty years. I've written articles for Coin World, Coins Magazine, and the Numismatist; plus I've been editing the PATCO Journal for the Pennsylvania Area Token Collectors' Organization since the mid-1980's. My main collecting interests include Classic & Modern Commemorative Coins, Sacagawea dollars, and Pittsburgh area trade tokens; along with smaller interests in type coins, Encased Cents in small celluloid buttons, Independent Brewery tokens, tokens & medals depicting Niagara Falls, engraved coins smashed by presidential funeral trains, and filling unusual Capital Plastics holders. My avatar depicts my latest counterstamp acquisition, which is an 1855 Seated half dollar countermarked with the phrase "USE GOODWIN'S GRAND GREASE JUICE FOR THE HAIR. G.G.G." Oh, and in my spare time, I also write horror novels. |

Though you've been around for a while,  all the same! It sounds like you've got some interesting collections, we'd love to see pictures. Maybe you could post some snippets of your fiction in the General Discussion area.  |

Welcome to CCF. You've provenance, whereas I sorta like the purty ones. I've learned quite a bit here about what I am actually doing and how to do it correctly. Sounds like you'll fit right in.
