What a great project to start. I offer two suggestions.
First look into joining USMexNA (U.S. Mexican Numismatic Association) It publishes a journal every quarter and the membership is a valuable source of information. They have a convention once a year in AZ in October and most major dealers of Mexican coins attend.
Second pick up a copy of Krause Publications "North American Coins and Prices". As a price guide it is useless but it has 25+ pages of Mexico Revolutionary coins listed and is a great tool for identifying the coins that are known. You can pick up a 2 or 3 year old version cheap on the internet and since the prices tend to be wrong anyway, all you are looking for is the ID.
