I asked for additional photos and the seller said, "I am unable to do this now as I am away from home. This coin is a filler...a copy."

The auction says "filler" in the title and in the body. Although I'm not sure that the term "filler" means "copy" or "fake" to me (at least I've never used it to mean that), so I can see where that could be tricky.

It starts at a buck so that would be a clue as well.
Rest in Peace

It's a 7 day auction. Plenty of time for Bobby to get it pulled.

That's interesting, I never understood filler to mean copy, but apparently it does to some.

I would not take the word filler to mean copy. Filler to me means a very low grade coin that fills a hole. "Appears AU" and "filler" don't go together in my book. How about "appears AU because it's FAKE and made to look AU".

He knows it's a fake, he's trying to use the word 'filler' to both excuse that off and also to try to sell the item. This, to me, is a little squirrely.. I thought you couldn't 'knowingly' sell a fake. I thought it had to have 'copy' stamped on it.. sigh.. oh well...

By using the term "filler," I thought the seller meant that the plastic flip was "filled" with dirt specks and debris.

The term "filler" to me means what KenKat said, a low grade hole filler for your collection.

I think you should tell him you are using a stolen credit card so it all works out fine in the end.
