Is anyone else collecting the ATB Silver Proof Quarter Sets? I really enjoy these coins. I have a few pretty collectable 5 ounce Bullion ATB's, but the Quarter Silver Set is beautiful, and You can afford to get all of them, (unless You want the 5 ouncers badly).

I believe there may be a few collectors of those sets here but I do not. I do collect the silver proof sets so I get them in that set.
Eventually I'm going to start picking those up to crack them open for a yet-to-be purchased album.

Yes, they are on my lists too! Originally all I was collecting were the circulated ATB's, but a few months ago I bought a few earlier Washington proofs and decided to get them all. Three months later all I need are the 1936, 1937, and 1939 proofs. I got most of my ATB proofs (clad and silver) in the US Mint holders and they, for now, will stay in plastic. I'm almost thinking of getting a second bunch just to put inside an album. Like you mentioned, the silver proofs just look great; much better than any of the clad types. Looking at the silver proofs is almost hypnotic!

PS: I've already made funeral arrangements for myself in case my wife finds out what I've been up to lately.

I do as well. I have all the silver State Quarters and started the silver ATB sets when they came out. As par for me, I am missing one or two years of the silver sets but I will get around to adding them. I have all the silver proof sets since they started in 1992...I think I do anyway. I need do a 100% complete inventory someday. I love the shiny 90% silver!

I love looking at old Proof Washington quarters. I have some 50's and 60's really nice proof quarters, and they are just so beautiful. The frosted ATB Quarters show George in good fashion too. It's too bad that they made the quarters in such low relief. I have a 1999 Gold Washington quarter Ouncer. The wife of the guy who designed the Buffalo nickel cut the die, and She actually won the contest for the new Washington quarter, but the mint director pulled some strings. It is an equally beautiful sculpture. The Eagle on the back is so beautiful it's just outrageous.

I have been contemplating doing an album with either the states or ATB in silver. I am leaning pretty heavy toward ATB Since I have a set of P/D States finished already.

I've been collecting them for a few years now. After the series finishes (hopefully) in 2021, I'm going to buy the capital plastics holder to put them all in.

Still contemplating adding the 1950-1957 proof sets to the remainder of the silver ones I have.
